Yeah, I get harassed by people who suck the shit out of their chicken wings. According to them, I never "Get all the meat." It's disgusting. He was so proud that he eats the cartilage, fuckin' gross.
You think cartilage is disgusting? WTF is wrong with you?
Cartilage is made from collagen, which is found in the very meat you're eating. And guess what gelatin is made from? You might as well call everything from gummy bears, yogurt, to cream cheese disgusting.

Eating the cartilage seems to be a cultural thing. My step-mother is Dominican and was the first person I ever saw do this. I thought it was pretty weird at the time, but I started asking other Hispanic people I knew and it was pretty universal.
The narrator sounds pretty white, but maybe it's common in certain regions too.

Oh, and I don't eat chicken feet either.
