^ No, MarineGunrock, people don't need others to tell them what they are. It's probably the fact that there are so many people around trying to tell homosexuals that they aren't really gay just confused straight people, or that what they do is morally wrong and sinful, or will somehow result in the downfall of civilization as a whole, or that they count as less than straight people, or just plain "don't agree" with them for no reason, that makes them more hesitant to accept themselves.
